Nicholas Ismael Barrera (born January 13, 2000) is a self-taught American film director, screenwriter, producer and editor. He was born in Los Angeles and moved to San Antonio at a young age. He studied Marketing and Film at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has experience working on student films, and attending writer's workshops and film screenings. Barrera is best known for his student shorts, Thump (2023) and Memory Lane (2023). He often collaborates with first-time actors on his projects.
